Absolutely, and please don't feel embarrassed – I specialize in helping nail biters and see bitten nails regularly. There's no judgment here, only solutions. Through a combination of prescriptive treatments, overlays or extensions, and ongoing care, I can help you break the habit and achieve the healthy nails you want. Many of my clients are amazed at their transformation within just a few appointments.
Unlike a standard manicure, a prescriptive manicure is customized to address your specific nail concerns. I assess your nail health, identify issues like weakness, peeling, or damage, and create a targeted treatment plan. This might include strengthening treatments, specific overlay techniques, or particular products chosen for your nail type. Each appointment builds on the last to improve your nail health.
Not at all – I specialize in transforming heavily callused and cracked feet. Using professional techniques and treatments, I can safely reduce thick calluses and address deep cracks. Most clients see significant improvement after their first treatment, with continued progress at each visit. There's no need to be embarrassed – I'm here to help restore your foot health and comfort. Please mention when booking if you have calluses or cracks. This is simply so I can allocate an appropriate amount of time for your appointment, you won't be charged more.
For bitten nails, damaged or weak nails, I typically recommend starting with appointments every 2-3 weeks (depending on your nails) to establish progress. Once we've achieved your goals, maintenance can usually be extended to 3-4 weeks.
Absolutely! As a neurodivergent-friendly studio, I can adjust many aspects of your treatment. This includes using unscented products, working in silence or with your preferred sounds, taking breaks when needed, or explaining each step before I do it. I encourage questions. Please let me know your needs when booking or at any point during your appointment. I'm autistic myself, so please don't feel awkward asking.
Use cuticle oil daily to moisturise your skin. This not only helps your nails last, but will help you to avoid picking or biting your skin.
Try to avoid picking or biting you nails or the skin around your nails (but don't go into a shame spiral if you do!) If you are prone to biting or picking, you may find a fidget ring is helpful.
Do not use your nails as tools. Using your nails to open cans or bottles, type, etc, will put strain on them and make it more likely that they will chip or break.
If you have a semi-permanent enhancement on your nails always wear gloves when cleaning or submerging your hands under water.
If you sustain any damage to your nails it is best to book in for a nail repair (in the first two days after a treatment these are free, should you need it!)
